Dr Ben Ireland is a general practitioner with a special interest in diagnosing and managing skin cancer. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor through the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

Ben studied medicine at Griffith University before moving to Cairns, where he worked at Cairns Hospital and completed his general-practice training.
​
He is a co-founder of Yorkeys Medical and Northern Skin Doctors.
Ben is also passionate about medical education. He has worked as a lecturer and clinical tutor with James Cook University’s medical school and is an active supervisor of GP registrars.

At Yorkeys Medical, patients can book with Ben for general practice and skin cancer care. His clinical interests include skin checks, dermoscopy and skin-cancer management.
Beyond the
consulting room
Outside work, Ben enjoys spending time with his children, fishing on the reef, playing golf and swimming. He is a keen rugby league supporter and follows the Parramatta Eels.
